Returned today from a 31 day West Indies cruise on Marco Polo on its first sailing under the flag of Cruise and Maritime - a wonderful holiday. The Marco Polo is a compact but beautifully fitted ship and the staff have been without parallel (and I have cruised with a number of other companies). IF you are a fan of the big Royal Caribbean ships then go elsewhere but if you enjoy quality service and a convivial atmosphere you can't go far wrong.
To top it all.. value for money for us was OUTSTANDING!!
Quality of Food4
Ate in the Waldorf the waiter service restaurant and choice was good. I AM NOT SMALL (I'm FAT) but there was plenty of food and of a good standard.
Entertainment4
All over. Guest lectures... brilliant. Marco Polo Ballet singers and orchestra very good. UK entertainers worked hard and helped create a party atmosphere. Other things included a singer in one of the bars... not my thing but good enough.. a saxophonist in another bar... excellent and should be more of him and 2 Russian classical musicians.
Shore Excursionsn/a
I always make my own way.
Staff5
Amazing waiting and bar staff!
Children's Facilitiesn/a
Adults only.
Onboard Activities4
Loads to do as long as you dont expect climbing walls and ice rinks.
Cabins4
Inside but large and well equipped.

Thanks for an enlightening review. We have booked for Iceland on Ocean Countess and I hope she is up to Marco Polo's standard.
