There is a huge variety of food, none of it particularly German in my opinion. Breakfast was a choice of rolls, breads, continental cheese and hams and there was a cooked option of eggs (usually fried or scrambled or both), hash browns, saute potatoes, sausages, tomatoes etc. Every lunchtime there was a different variety of soup and several main course choices ranging from pasta dishes to curries, quiches and casseroles. There is a wide variety of salads, bread rolls, vegetables, pickles and fruit every day with the added option of a bar-b-q (usually steak or fish I believe) or pizza out on the pool deck. There was also a large selection of puddings. Then in the afternoon cakes and sandwiches were available, followed by the evening meal where again there was a different soup each day and a large choice of different dishes. We preferred the more informal buffet bar of Marco's as you could pick as much or as little as you wanted. The food was fantastic, your husband will love it!
