Cruise line Costa. Ship Luminosa. Date of sailing 27th Jan. Itenerary Arab Emirates out of Dubai. Set out with some trebitation after reading numerous bad reviews about this cruise line. Need not worry the cruise was Fabulous. I am a seasoned cruiser and this was on a par with everything i have been on includingPrincess,Royal Caribbean etc. We ate in the same restuarant at fixed dining every night and the service was exceptional. We ha dpaid beforehand for the drinks package and it was unrestricted during mealtimes.The buffet restaurant was truly great with a wonderful selection and choice. The bar service was freeflowing and never had to wait too long. The cabin although low deck was spacious and comfortable and again equalled the cabins we have had before. We never bothered with excursions but they seemed reasonable and were well supported. The entertainment was first class indeed this was the most shows that we have ever attended and the rest of tghe enter tainment was first class too. Suffice to say Costa were Italian with Phillipine crew(mostly). The crew were excellent and the officers were really personal and were very engaging. If in doubt do not be put off .We will definitely travel with Costa again. Graham and Diane Thomas

Ate in the main restaurant for evening meals. Buffet at breakfast and lunch times.Food and service excellent

Saw more shows than any cruise before all presented very professionally. All other entertainment very good quality not one that I wopuld criticise

A attendant that we used to see during the day and at night .He was exceptional but unfortunately I cannot remember his name

Onboard Activities

Cabins
We had an otside cabin with refrigerator and bar. The cabin was very spacious and compared favorably to the best that we have stayed in

Warbrick, Derby Hi - we are also on this ship in April from Dubai to Savona. Have read such awful reviews about Costa but it's nice to read such a positve review. We are less apprehensive after reading your review.

Look forward to your cruise,we are on the same cruise as indeed are 5 of our freinds,have done some 10 cruises all over the world with Costa,have not encoutered the negatives being written about,indeed we have done a similar number of cruises with RCI and Princess,finding them all very similar,we have also booked a transatlantic for april 2011 also with Costa
