Thank you for your positive reply. Just uploaded August 16, 2010. Another few days to go to finalize the wole blog. It's really a huge load of pictures, but worth while, I guess. Keep on looking in the blog form time to time, till it's finalized. Regards,.

Hi, Donelly, Costa's policy is (in Europe) EUR 6.-/person/day (on cruises over 8 days) as service-surcharge that will be added to your account every day you spent aboard/in your cabin. If you are very satisfied with your cabin steward, and/or the waiter at your (every evening) table (which you are dedicated to all cruise the same table), resp. the waiter's assistant, then of course you CAN provide them with some tips at the end of the cruise. It's voluntary though. You won't be "advised" at the end of the cruise how much money to put in an envelope ready prepared waiting on your pillow 3 nights before disembarkation (as it is on other cruiselines - depending on the poilcy). They depend sometimes more on a good rating with mentoining the name/in person in the form you are requested to fill-in at the end of the curise, how satisfied you were with food/presentation/service/cabin, etc. That might lead to either one day off or even a promotion/higher grade work. Hope that could answer your question a little at least. Please let me know, if you need any more info. Thank you.

Princess to take over Europe in 2019!

By Tom Harding

Princess Cruises are set to fall upon the UK Market in 2019 with a record breaking year as they base, not one, not two but three ships in Southampton and that accounts to more than 1 million sailing nights from Southampton and Dover. They will base the Crown Princess and surprisingly enough the Sapphire Princess as we had been lead to believe 2018 would be the only year shed sail from the UK Well it isnt and she will be back from the Far East for 2019 and they will also have the Pacific Prin...

If you haven’t already, take a look at my last post ‘Wonderful Shanghai Pt 2’ here I have to admit the title here doesn’t really tell the full story as we actually spent the day in the equally wonderful city of Suzhou which is around 62 miles from Shanghai. Read onAfter a good nights sleep at our hotel in Shanghai we arose early for our 9am pick up. As Breakfast was included we headed down to the Restaurant. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of Western ...

Premium All inclusive without ...

By Chris Halford

Chris Halford's blog

I wrote a blog back in June when NCL decided to change their offering and moved all of their sailings to Premium All Inclusive. They said this is what customers wanted and they were responding to the market. Furthermore, gratuities were also thrown in which meant you could go away and not worry about spending money (except for excursions and other optional extras). This also applied to guarantee cabins. These are usually offered by the cruise lines at a reduced cost but without the ability to...
