We have just returned from a Costa Deliziosa innagrual cruise Dubia fujariaha, goa, mumbia ,cochin, maldive, muscatt, dubia
we havent cruised we costa before but the places that they we going and the cost made us look into it , wow what a trip fab , ship was brand new so was looking great, lots of sun loungers and areas to sun bath , and your normal happy waiters and cabin staff ,down side being an italian cruise ship geared for italians , the constant 6 language announcement and when spoken in english a poor version i must say , all entertaiment was for italians and poor at that the animation team reminded me of my butlins holidays back in the 60\'s , but the italians loved it , 5 piano bars all playing italian music , a disco that nobody used except for shore excurtions , staff told us that it was not the italians seen so nothing went on there , the food wasnt my cup of tea either but i dont like sea food or fish or pasta , didnt go hungry though they did great bread rolls , and chips , lunch time buffet was the best for me , my biggest moan was that the alternative dinning was not always open , so come 8 oclock it was just pizza ,never any veg or potatoes ,
if you find your cabin on deck 8 under the lido deck move or try not very obliging these italians it was so niosey when they had activitys on lido deck especialy 3am in morning , after 7 days of constant complianing we were moved what a relief peace at last , costa not for me im afraid its back to royal caribeen or p&o , the holiday was great dont get me wrong you will get use to it being on costa and they do go to places that would cost you a fortune on others cruise lines thats the only advantage .

I thought, at first, that this was a wind-up, but is it? I have to ask Mr/Mrs Simmons, did you do any research AT ALL before booking this cruise? If you did, it beggars belief that you could get it so wrong.

Congratulations on your English, you are very good, better than my Italian I can tell you An Italian cruise ship is well err geared up for Italians! as is the food The food is what we go for, excellent Italian cusine, and a nice change to the palette I have not yet done the Deliziosa, but did the inaugrual and maiden cruise on her sister ship the Luminosa, and it was very good Our English hostess Australian lady (cough) spoke very good english during the announcements The food was very good, and if you did not fancy the menu, there was always available, chicken, steak lamb jacket potatoes or chips (plus spag bol) small print on the menu as an alternative meal, as was the buffet dining on deck eight until 11pm I must say I find it odd, that they charge more for balconies on deck eight below the activities deck, with the above deck noise, and the customers who take them who look down on the customers on deck six who have the same balcony cabin but with peace and quiet at less cost??? I find Costa very good, more of a holiday abroad,( than Costa blanca in Spain full of brits with hankies on their head) with very few Brits, You feel as if you have had a holiday abroad in Italy rather than Blackpool IMHO Jimbo

this was soppose to be an international ship as we were imformed by the cruise director catering for all europeans , i didnt find that and nor did many fellow english ,dutch ,germans , cyprians, that we spoke to and canadians which there were more of than brits , as you say there is an alternative limited menu choice and a buffet not may i say open till 11pm , open only at sea till 8 or some night 9 in harbour 6-30 , but very limited choice with NO veg NO potatoes, having cruised 14 times befor on various cruise lines, i didnt find that costa were in any way up to the same standard as them in entertainment activites and food my opinion and this is my review i dont exspect everybody to agree with me but so far the other reviews havent been favourable for costa yes we had an english hostess onboard but she only made 2 or 3 announcments over 18 days , give me an americam owened ship or p&o anytime they have it spot on in everyway read the reviews on oasis of the sea rci
