just come off the costa deliziosa. have cruised several times with costa but this will be our last one with them. flashy ship food absolutely awful, service slow, probably because the busboy instead iof helping the main waiter is doubling as a somelier too! everything on board had to be paid for inc the cinema which is normally free. cabin badly planned out, we had a suite, as you walked in the door, to your left was a bank of drawers with dressing table and above that the safe in another cupboard. next to that were the wardrobes we removed the bar from one side to get long dresses in! another dresswing table next to that a nd one on the opposite wall! the bed was almost on top of the balcony window good job we are not fat. plus the flat screen telly was on the wall opposite the bed, so you bashed into it everytime due to lack of space. if you came in the cabin you had to be careful that nobody was behind with the safe open or going into a drawew or coming out of the loo etc a nightmare! costa back in the 80s and since have been good their italian food was of note not now everything was oversalted and inedible! i could go on but just to say no more costa for us will stick to celebrity holland america or cunard.

WE WERE LUCKY WE HAD A CABIN CHANGE AFTER THE FIRST 7 days ,we were under the lido deck it was a nightmare but after 7 days they moved us but it was constant complaining and threating to sleep at reception that did it , customer service was poor , food was poor as you said over salted that was on most dishes didnt matter if u complianed or you went for something else that was over salted , no wonder one of there early ships is called costa fortune found it really pricey for drinks 4 -50 for half a larger , 20 for wine asda do 3 for a tenner which was better , but i enjoyed the trip for the places we went
