This was our first Costa cruise so we boarded the Costa Allegra in Singapore with open minds. Although the ship started life as a cargo ship, it certainly has no feeling of being anything other than a good cruise ship. We generally book inside cabins and go for the lowest fares so were amazed that this was probably the largest cabin we'd ever had; it was more spacious than our cabin on the P&O Ventura last year.
Evening entertainment was a bit mixed but there were a few really good shows during the two weeks. Food was fine in terms of quantity and variety; the prime rib of beef was superb, we both like it rare and it arrived rare and tender. We did order this quite a few times!
Finding shade on deck can be a problem as there are limited spots to escape the sun. This was quite a challenge when the temperatures were in the lower to mid 30s. Some additional form of canopies over parts of the open decks wouldn't seem too hard to construct.
Quality of Food
We generally used the main dining room
Entertainment
The theatre is limiting for the artists as the ceiling height is low

First off I think you have created fifteen cheers for Costa and secondly I hope you are not expecting a Berlitz Guide because there are only 179 words (no I didn't count them my pc did) unless of course you are hoping that all five issues can be added together. ......Neil

Peter, did you reckon on that being a review from which anything could be gleaned? It was unnecessarily repeated five times. We, on the Forum have been discussing the reviews and how useless some are and this one came close to being included in that category.
By the way I have a life and a brilliant one and don't SHOUT it's so rude. ....Neil
