We boarded the Celebrity Millenium on Monday 22nd February after very comfortable flights to San Juan via Miami. The hotel we stayed in pre-cruise was the Caribe Hilton which was lovely, and because it was our 40th wedding anniversary, were upgraded to a fabulous room.

The next day we were taken to board the ship at around 12 pm and after a very speedy check-in our cruise began. The ship is now 10 years old and apart from it showing a little on the pool deck, it has been refurbished to the highest degree. the service was exceptional and the food was very good. The Olympic retaurant which we visited on the last evening was just the best dining experience ever. It was so very elegant, food cooked tableside and brought to the table under silver domes. Entertainment was first class and Michael's Club (where we went on some evenings after dinner) was so relaxing with Katie at the piano. She interacted with the guests and we really made friends with her. We had a balcony for the first time and sometimes enjoyed room service sitting outside. Although there was an outbreak of Norovirus, which seem to spread on most ships, due to guests boarding with colds and viruses and not washing their hands after using the bathroom, the utmost care was taken to try and stop the spread.

This is a lovely ship, just the right size, for a traditional, elegant and relaxing holiday. We shall definitely sail with Celebrity again.
Quality of Food4
Main Restaurant was very good with breakfast and dinner having an excellent choice and very well cooked
Entertainment4
We saw Pearl Kaufman who was magnificent. She played and taked about all the films she had recorded soundtracks and themes for, and all the film stars she had met. The iBroadway show by the dancers on the ship was excellent.
