DO NOT GO ON A CELEBRITY CRUISE SHIP MILLENIUM WE ARE ON IT AS I SPEAK AND IT IS A NIGHTMARE. THEY HAVE RANSACKED OUR CASES AND LEFT ALL OUR CLOTHING CRUMPLED AND STOLEN 2 BOTTLES OF EXPENSIVE CHAMPAGNE FROM THEM (WHICH WE WERE TOLD ALLOWED TO BRING ON BOARD 2 BOTTLES PER CABIN) APPARENTLY ON THE 1ST MARCH A NEW ALCOHOLIC POLICY BEEN BROUGHT IN REGARDING BRING WINE ON BOARD HOWEVER NO ONE HAS A COPY OF THIS OR HAS ANY KNOWLEDGE OF IT TILL I COMPLAINED AS TO WHERE MY STOLEN CHAMPAGNE HAS GONE. THEY HAVE ALSO BLEACHED ALL THE LIFTS AND DAMAGED ARTICLES OF CLOTHING AS USED PURE BLEACH AND IT HAS TAKEN ALL THE COLOUR OUT IMMEDIATLY ON TOUCHING THE HANDRAILS. THE FOOD IN RESTAURANT AT BREAKFAST DISGUSTING AND THE GUEST RELATIONS DONT WANT TO KNOW. APPARENTLY EVERYTHING HAS TO BE DEALT WITH AT HEAD OFFICE IN MIAMI. HOW AM I GOING TO DO THAT WHEN ON SHIP AND LIVE IN THE U.K. NIGHTMARE CONTINUES 10 MORE DAYS TO GO

We left the Celebrity Millenium last Friday after a most wonderful cruise. We knew beforehand that we could not bring alcohol on board and if we did it would be confiscated. Although the shio is now 10 years old, it has been beautifully refurbished. we had exceptionally good service throughout from our cabin stewards and waiters. They could not do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment, bars and Cosmos nightclub were exceptional with something happening all the time if you wanted to take part. It was our 40th wedding anniversary whilst we were sailing and we received a bottle of champagne from Celebrity as well as a cake and a special anniversary party for all the anniversary guests and honeymooners. The Olympic was an amazing experience on the last night and could not be faulted.I think the person writing from the ship needs to calm down and enjoy the holiday otherwise all that money is wasted. I have cruised on Princess, P & O and Royal Carribean and would definitely cruise on this ship again.

2 BOTTLES OF WINE PER CABIN ARE ALLOWED ON BOARD CHAMPAGNE BEING CLASSED AS WINE WAS THEREFOR ALLOWED. SUITCASES SHOULD NOT BE OPENED ON PORTSIDE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION OR WITHOUT A CELEBRITY MEMBER OF STAFF BEING PRESENT. ANYTHIING COULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN THE CASES AS WELL AS REMOVED. ALSO 450 GUESTS WERE TAKEN VERY ILL THE WEEK WE ARRIVED WAS THIS THE CELEBRITY MILLENIUM YOU WERE ON OR THE OLYMPIC AS YOU SAY YOU WERE ON BOTH

I travelled on Millenium last year , without doubt the best of all the ships we have been on , including Aurora , Oceana , Venturer of the Seas , Century etc . Food terrific , Entertainment 1st Class , Service Impeccable . Agree with Coolcruiser review no such thing as a 1 star celebrity ship . Perhaps your 1st day problems clouded your overall assessment . Just booked for Eclipse later this year , cant wait !

we have cruised with Celebrity and RCI over 15 times and can honestly say never never have our suitcases been tampered with but on the other hand we have never attempted to take on board wine or Champagne. I do know Holland & America will allow you to take on Wine but you must pay corkage charge what this is I am not sure. When we have brought Spirits from an excrusion we have had them taken from us until the end of the cruise when they have been returned us for parting from the cruise. Do not let this ruin your cruise, we have been on a cruise Princess Cruises where we have been charged over $400 on one bar purchase, I was concerned when my sea pass disappeared for over 2 hours, I went straight to the Pursers office and asked for a statement print out and whole and behold there was the enmorous charge from the one bar. We had the task of proving we had not had the large amount of drinks the receipt was saying, then we had to wait for a whole week for the cruise hotel manager to put right what we could just call theft by one of the bar staff. So a week of some of our holiday money missing and not sure if we would ever get it back was a huge concern, did it put us off cruising no, but I must say we have not cruised Princess again.

Are you saying that someone entered your cabin and took the champagne from your suitcase? How did your clothing get rumpled ?

You need to write to the Captain and keep a copy of the letter ( ask reception to photocopy it ) and ask for a confirmation in writing that it has been delivered to him.

Sounds as though you have broken a Celebrity rule on Alcohol.Bleach is only used in Bathrooms on board and is strictly controlled.Their is no such thing as a 1 star Celebrity ship ...fact You are a victim of your own circumstances

Off Celebrity.com today "Two bottles wine per stateroom are allowed on embarkation day, subject to corkage fees" I have seen complaints of champagne being confiscated before, a lot depends on security on boarding. I would insist that the champagne be returned to you at the end of the cruise, otherwise you will sue them for theft.
