This was our 2nd cruise and we had a great time. Our favourite destinations were Aruba & Curacao. Both islands had a natural charm and were very friendly. On both we found good snorkelling sites. We went on a catamaran tour whilst in Antigua which included snorkelling but were disapointed with the chosen site there.
The islands have something for everyone. From the brightly coloured buses driven equally colourful characters to volcanoes and lovely orange sunsets.
The Constellation itself is a ship which is very easy to relax on. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much bother for them. The public spaces are spacious and there never appears to be any overcrowding apart from the pool area on sea days.
A few areas of the ship were looking a little tired but that is about to be remedied because in April the ship is having a refit.
Staterooms are a good size, well equipped with very comfortable beds. Our stateroom attendant was friendly but unobtrusive and kept our room spotless. She even went out of her way to make a special drink on a few nights when my wife started with a cough.
Entertainment was varied and of a good standard. There was always something happening either in the theatre, cinema, various meeting rooms or the bars.
Food was always of a high standard. Lunchtime buffet came with a wide variety of choices and venues. While in the evening the main dining area had very good food, perfectly presented by well organised, efficient & pleasant waiters.
Boarding and disembarkation in Miami was very smooth and quick. So much better than our last cruise 2 years ago when it took forever to disembark in Vancouver.
Our only disapointment was after leaving the ship and being dumped at Miami airport 7 hours before our flight (one couple had 11 hours to wait.)
Overall we had an excellent holiday on a comfortable ship looked after by well trained and attentive staff.

Could you not have booked an excursion (Miami or Everglades) that took up several hours and dropped you at the airport?

yes we could have booked a trip to the everglades but it was too far to travel just for a 40min airboat ride. also why should we have to pay out for more trips at the end of the holiday just because they won't pay out to store the suitcases for 5hrs like they did in vancouver
