Just returned today from a wonderful week on the Celebrity Solstice. This ship, captain and ALL of the crew delivered on all fronts all of the time. Pretty remarkable but true.
We elected for Aqua class and it worked well for us. Access to Persian gardens is a little haven of tranquility. Blu restaruant staff look after your every need and nothing is a bother. A couple of things worth pointing out. We understood the Aqua deck is a child free zone. This is not the case, at the aft end there are Concierge staterooms which allows children in them. On this trip this was not a problem but may be different depending on the families. The other is the Solarium. This is not for Aqua use only. It is very popular and always busy.
Aqua class includes private dining in Blu for breakfast and dinner. It is worth it. Beautiful dining room with all select dining. Dinner portions are small but well presented and delicious. if you like a lot of choice at breakfast then the Oceanview buffet is hard to beat and maybe a better option. Personally I preferred waking slowly the Blu way.
Staterooms are fine, good showers, good storage space.
This is a beautiful ship with quality furnishings.
We did not use the grass area but it was well used for bools, putting etc. Again we are unable to comment on the shows as we only made one! which was good. Same applies to many of the other activivties.
We loved the Martini bar with the highly entertaining skilled staff. Pouring 11 martinis in one hit is a skill which should not be tried at home.
It is hard to believe the number of guests on board as other than sea days around the pool there is loads of space and never feels crowded.
We almost want to keep this experience a secret in case it gets spoiled but have no hesitation in saying highly recommend Celebritiy and are looking forward to our next cruise already!!.
