Have just returned from a caribbean cruise on Celebrity Equinox. Although the ship is magnificant it lacks "warmth". We booked second sitting asking for a large table as meeting new people for dinner is a large part of our holiday and over the years we have made many new friends this way from around the world. Our party of 4 were given a table for 4 in a corner of the dining room. We were not the only ones not happy with dining arrangements. It took until the 3rd night to get a larger table. The staff were very good as was the food. Evening shows were ordinary. The acts did not live up to the wonderful theatre and equipment. Public areas were very cold. Lawn area was under repair for the whole of the cruise. What a waste of space!! Bathroom excellent but a distinct lack of drawer space in cabin.
Quality of Food5
Main dining room for breakfast and dinner Buffet for lunch

I cannot understand why you have only given the ship an overall rating of 2 stars when the food, staff and cabins have been awarded 4/5 stars. Obviously the entertainment and activities were not to your taste but this only occupies a small part of the time spent on board any cruise. Did you not like the facilities on board or its design?
Opinion: Disagree Comment by Jenkins, swansea (12 Mar 10 13:07) about this REVIEW
I totally disagree with this , the ship was not disappointing ive been on over 15 cruises and this was 1 of the best by far, was a lovely warm, friendly ship. Food was fantastic. The lawn club was interesting it was real grass so they had to work on it to keep it going, was nice to see them doing work on it . The public area were great and they had put a lot of work in to them with there design and look. everyone has there own opinion but i think this review would put people off and does not show the ship to what it really is.

I agree with Jenkins. This was my first time with Celebrity and will not be my last. A very well designed ship with ample space for everyone. We had also requested a large table, but on checking with management, it was explained that the presence of several large groups (115 Firefighters and friends, for instance) it was difficult to facilitate large table requests for individual cruisers. Service, food, cabin and overall atmosphere were generally excellent. Any minor problems were quickly rectified by the excellent staff throughout.

I agree with jenkins can't understand what he could find wrong with this ship I also have done about 15 cruises and this was by far the best in every way we had plenty of storage space and there was 3 people in our cabin with alot of clothes nothing was a problem to the staff they were very friendly especially our singing waiter food and entertainment at the same time can't wait for our next cruise.

I was on the cruise and while it is only the second cruise we have done ( the first being on Cunards Victoria) I fail to see how anybody could not of been delighted with the entertainment. The ship was certainly equal to Cunard in most areas and the entertainment surpassed the great entertainment we enjoyed on Victoria. Loved ever moment of it
