Having just completed a cruise to the western Med I really feel guests on "Aqua Class" get a raw deal. Not only do we have to eat in the awful "BLU" restaurant who seem to overcook everything to destruction, but we have to listen to beds being dragged about from the early hours on that blasted canopy that overhangs the verandah. Overall the worst cabin and the worst food we have ever had on any cruise line!!!! It was only when we moved to "Moonlight Sonata" that the food improved to an acceptable level.
There was also the issue of not being able to find sunbeds in the sun because of lots of space being taken up by the ponsy lawn which hardly anybody used considering how many people were on board. So no sun on the verandah because of the enormous overhang, no sun on the sundeck because many of the beds were in shade, rubbish food in BLU an overall wonderful cruise!!!
The entertainment was of a high standard unless you wanted to dance, the only dance floor, fit to be called a dance floor was hardly ever used and the music barely audible except when a band was playing, which was rare, in this location. No one seemed able to adjust the volume to an acceptable level because it had been recorded badly on an iPod it was either too quiet to hear the beat or deafening.
The only redeeming factor was the crew who were all very nice.

Most of the positive comments seem to come from people who did not eat in "blu". maybe you should try it if you are brave enough?

I don't think the lawns were under used. We played a good few games of croquet and others were playing putting golf and boules. There was some very comfortable seating around and to the side of the croquet lawn. The days folks were scarce on the top deck was when is was extremely wet with a strong cold wind - and you can't blame the cruise line for the weather!! Rating overall is very harsh - we had a great couple of weeks - met lots of lovely people especially our dining companions in the Moonlight Sonata.

I did enjoy the food in moonlight sonata after i switched there from the awful "blu" for instance escargot were supposed to be served with spatzle but but the spatzle was so overcooked that what we got was a starchy guk all fused together also the marinated tuna was so dry you could hardly swallow it. i had it replaced with chicken and it was dried up. now that really takes some skill! i found that basic culinary skills were absent.

I was interested to read your review. I wouldn't consider Aqua class because I go on a cruise to enjoy my food and get away from too many healthy options, I would never book a cabin just below the pool deck and the extra cost for Aqua class is quite considerable when the ordinary balcony cabins are the same size. Having said that, I've been on Eclipse twice and Equinox once and loved every minute of all three cruises so whilst I understand your frustration with your Aqua class situation, I think your ratings are very harsh.

I love Celebrity but I would never consider an Aqua Class accommodation. The cabins are exactly the same size as standard balcony cabins, and as you said they are all under the massive overhang. Blu is a "healthy Eating" dining room, and there is no way that I want healthy eating whilst I am on a cruise. To my mind Blu is a gimmick just like the useless lawn.

Blu is now classed as a 'chic Meditterean Restaurant' in the latest releases. The overhang is fine for us, my cousin died from skin cancer, probally caused by to much sunbathing. As the OP has been on previous cruiser, I would thought that they would be aware that on ANY ship the deck under the pool deck is noisy, as they are under restaurants, gymnasiums and theatres. I still think a little research would of helped the OP to choose a better cabin.

You don't 'have to' eat in Blu at all if you don't want to. Why on earth did you wait so long to move elsewhere?
