Had a wonderful 7 nights on Carnival Victory cruising around the Caribbean.

Great ship, friendly staff, delicious food, good entertainment.

We had a family holiday with 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 6 -9 years old. The kids had a brilliant time, especially on the water flume. Each evening they went into the kids club, no problem putting them together in the 6-8 year old club. This gave the adults a couple of hours to explore the ship, go shopping and try our luck at the casino.

The only negatives that I have was that the sun beds were very uncomfortable, but there was plenty of them and there was no problem getting one at any time of day. The buffet restaurant was very busy but this is a commom theme on most ships. We normally had breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant to avoid the queues and with 4 children this was more relaxing.

So if you have children and are considering a cruise - this ship is worth looking at. However my first love is the Independence of the Seas.

But very expensive, we tended to go ashore and get a taxi for trips to the beach, this saved a lot of money. Approximately $39 for a family of four return trip to beach

The children had their own independence, expecially on the water flume and ice cream bar!

Sufficient space in a cabin with window for a family of four

hi we traveling on this cruise on the 28th of feb did you stay at barbados first
Answer by Jollands, Southampton (03 Nov 09 07:58) to a QUESTION by logan (02 Nov 09 13:29)
Brilliant! We stayed at the Barbados Beach Club for 3 days. We did pack a separate bag for Barbados so we didn't have to go through all our bags as there was four of us. We didn't do a lot of trips just recovering from the flight, however we did do the submarine which was fab. Have a great trip! Do your own thing when you get to the islands, taxi's easy to pick up for tours and to the beach, not so expensive.
