We went on this Carnival Cruise following a stay in florida. This was the first time i had been on a cruise with my 3 year old daughter. We arrived at Miami port by taxi and found the staff on the dockside to be most helpful and they advised us that our luggage would be waiting in our cabin. We found the check in process quite efficient and there was not too much waiting around with our daughter. Once onboard we went straight to our cabin which was a balcony cabin on deck ____.
We had a king size bed and my daughter had a sofa bed in the room which was very well laid out. There were also two chairs and a table on the balcony. It was very clean, well decorated and a good size. It was a brilliant location as only one deck down from the lido deck where the swimming pools and the buffet resturant were.

For some reason we were put on the 20:15 sitting for dinner but wanted to change to the earlier sitting as this would be more convienient, this was no problem for the staff who put me in touch with the maitre'd who changed our table for us. We were in the lincoln dining room. That night we went for dinner, we were very pleased with our table it was booth style and overlooked the diners below which pleased my daughter. Our waiter (Franky) was very efficient and advised us there was a childrens menu but if my daughter wanted anything from the adult menu they could also arrange that for her. We ended up going to the main resturant every night of our cruise we enjoyed all of our food that we had, the service was excellent, the dining staff sung on two nights and we had table entertainers some nights showing us their magic tricks.
The buffet resturant which we had breakfast and lunch in was very good but a bit hectic at times, the food was of good quality but there were queues.

We went to a couple of the shows, both were very good, one a mixture of comedy and juggling and one dancing and singing. The only issue we had was as they didnt start until 9 o clock this was too late for my daughter.
We also took our daughter to the camp carnival club (the kids club), the staff there were very helpful she had a great time painting t-shirts and they even let us have a phone if they needed to contact us. Which was great for the under 5's.

Overall it was a fantastic experience, we enjoyed the itinerary as it was western caribbean and we had not visited the destinations before. All the staff we encountered were always very helpful and the food of good quality and plenty of it. We would not hesitate to travel with Carnival again.
