Carnival Cruises - Carnival Glory
Carnival Glory
As one of five Conquest class vessels built for Carnival Cruises in the early 2000s, the Carnival Glory, along with its sister ships - Valor, Liberty, Freedom and Conquest - is a large liner designed to provide a sense of fun and adventure.
It is a resort-style vessel that can carry up to 3,700 passengers and caters to a wide variety of cruise styles. This means that the Glory is suitable for guests who like a traditional cruise experience, as well as those who prefer to have all the modern amenities.
In most cases, those travelling on Carnival cruises are young couples, families and groups of friends. The age range of passengers does vary rather significantly, however, and older guests will also feel perfectly at home on the vessel.
The Glory offers cruises to destinations on the east coast of America and Canada, as well as the Caribbean. Popular itineraries include a seven-day voyage departing from New York and travelling north to Massachusetts, Maine, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
Other cruises begin in Miami and travel to ports of call such as Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and Grand Turk.

Food, cuisine and dining
Whether you're looking for a small bite to eat or a multiple-course feast, there are plenty of dining options to choose from on the Glory, so you're sure to find something to leave you feeling satisfied.
The principal restaurants are called Golden and Platinum. They serve three meals a day in a traditional cruise dining environment. Breakfast and lunch are open seating, while dinner is offered with two set services. Meanwhile, passengers can also opt for Your Time Dining for more flexibility.
Other dining options include the Red Sail - a massive buffet located on the Lido deck, where you can find everything from pizza and burgers to international cuisine and light bites. There's also Sushi Time, located on the Promenade deck and the Emerald Room Steakhouse if you're looking for an extra-special meal.
Room service is available 24 hours a day and the Creams Cafe serves a delicious range of coffees and teas, as well as pastries and other snacks.
On-board entertainment and activities
The atmosphere on the Glory is always one of fun and frivolity and this is certainly true when it comes to the nightlife. With 22 different bars and lounges, there are plenty of places to enjoy your favourite drink, have a good conversation, listen to some live music or show off your dance moves.
There are several public rooms are each is named after - and decorated in - a specific colour. The Amber Palace, for example, is the main show lounge and has some gorgeous warm tones and a golden carpet. It hosts nightly cabaret acts and Las Vegas-style productions.
Meanwhile, the White Heat dance club is the perfect place for dancing. There's also Bar Blue - a jazz club - and the Ebony Cabaret, as well as the Burgundy Bar.
For a quiet place to curl up with your favourite book ,the Black and White library is a great spot and there's also an internet cafe.
Kids will have plenty to keep them busy too. A massive 214-foot water slide twists and turns high above the pool deck, while crazy golf and a fabulous range of kids' play areas and programmed activities are available. Teens will also enjoy their own disco - called Ultraviolet.
Spas and fitness facilities
Exercise is a great way to unwind and if you're looking for a workout to relieve all your tension, then a trip to the fitness suite is the ideal choice. The space is equipped with a number of exercise machines, while various classes are available throughout the day.
If you'd like to learn about how to improve your wellbeing, nutrition lessons, personal training sessions and other enrichment programmes are available to teach you what you need to know.
Alternatively, why not head to the City Sports Park on the Sun Deck, where you can go for a run or play games like ping pong, volleyball, shuffleboard and basketball?
If you prefer a bit of pampering, then the Oasis Spa offers a thermal suite, as well as plenty of treatment rooms. There's also the Serenity adults-only area.
Cabins
The Glory offers a huge range of accommodation, with nearly 1,500 rooms spanning seven categories and 20 price grades.
For those looking for great cruise deals, the interior no-view rooms might be the best option. These are cosy spaces with two single beds that can be pushed together to make a single queen.
All cabins are equipped with televisions and they have desk/vanity units with a small seating area. There's plenty of storage space and every room comes with a private bathroom.
Of course, if you're seeking some really plush accommodation, there are a number of suites available, some of which are more than double the size of the standard rooms. Spa Cabins are also available, as well as family-sized rooms.
