Just returned home after a cruise on Carnival Freedom. We had an outside cabin and it was very comfortable ..... enough storage space too. A comfortable bed, good cabin service and cute towel animals greeted us each night!!!!

The ships interior is all bling ...... very bright and colourful. Thankgod the cabins were not like that.

The food was good. Special meals were provided for some people in our group and I thought that was really nice .... and added a great touch to the service. Our wait staff were great and took care to see that we were well looked after. They were friendly too.

We only did one shore excursion with Carnival @ Ocho Rios. We did the Dunns Falls with the Ride up the Magic Mountain. It was really good and worth it. We chose not to do it on our own as Jamaica had quite a reputation ...... and this was good. IWe were cought in a thunder storm while we were up the mountain and Carnival arranged road transport to bring us back to the ship (even offered us hot towels as we entered the ship as we were soaking wet!!! ) It was a good trip and I would recommend it.

The entertainment was good. We especially enjoyed The Big Easy and the Beatles shows they are not to be missed!!! They are usually held in the night on Days at sea. The formal nights were OK. Didn't need a gown and didn't require to be very formal, just smartly dressed!!!! For the Captain's Cocktail Evening it is worth going early as otherwise there is no place to sit!!!!

Overall it was certainly a great cruise and well worth the money.
