Booked this cruise for the ports as we like Italy rather than choice of ship. We had an outside stateroom with two portholes starboard towards the bow on riviera deck, the room and service were fine but major problems when docking. At 4.00 am the noise and vibration would wake the dead had I known at the time of booking I would certainly chose another stateroom. The food at the self service restaurant was limited and repetitive, however Breakfast and Dinner in the Posh restaurant was very good. We tried the Supper Club $30 per person supplement enjoyed very much but not enough to tempt us away from the Posh. Overall we found the decor dark and dull,l the walk along deck 5 to access from bow to stern was restricted to one side of the Casino and was only 3 metres wide and further restricted by hoards of photographers. The ships smoking policy is not geared for the non-smoker and many parts of the ship smelled like an ashtray. After all my negative comments may I say that overall we enjoyed the cruise it was made by the excellent attitude of all the staff without exception. We would take another cruise with Carnival but not in the same stateroom.
