Just back from a far east cruise on Azamara Quest visiting Bangkok, 3 ports in Vietnam, sailing from Singapore and ending in Hong Kong. there is absolutely nothing adverse to say about the ship, crew or itinerary.
The ship is the smallest we have sailed on, had only 400 or so passengers with nearly the same amount of crew. the decor was comfortable and classy with no pompousness. he dining room was elegant though formality was kept to a minimum with no specified dressing up nights. he food choice and quality with wine included was exceptional. The entertainment was of a high standard in the cabaret lounge.
If I had to quibble about anything it would have to be the shore excursions, which should be booked before embarking to receive a 50 per cent discount and booked online. As we didn't receive this information until the day before leaving the UK I would justifiably have felt aggrieved if we had had to pay the full amount. As the crew were all eager to please, it goes without saying that the shore excursion staff were no exception and anxious not to cause unnecessary angst. We took part in 3 excursions giving us a flavour of Vietnam which we will treasure for ever.
Having been to Thailand before we did our own thing and would recommend seeking out the Skytrain and tourist boat trips along the Chao Phraya river. A day pass costing 150 bahts (about £3) is very good value and allows you to get on and off at will to see most of what Bangkok has to offer.
If I have to sum up the Azamara Quest, it would be a small ship, smart, casual, elegant, able to get close and personal in ports other larger ships are unable to access. Tips, soft drinks, wine with meals included, friendly crew anxious to please. International cuisine, something for everyone.

| Quality of Food | |
| Fresh fruit, salads, good vegetable varieties, fish choice. Did not eat sushi. | | Entertainment | |
| Everyone was professional and good in their performance. | | Shore Excursions | |
| The Rural Traditions in Denang was my favourite. The junk boat trip in Halong Bay should have been spectacular but was spoilt by skipper stalling for time and drifting so as not to get back too soon. There were no refreshments offered and coupled with being in the middle of an expanse of water away from the scenic areas, on a cool, drizzly day, left a sour taste in the mouth. | | Staff | |
| The Captain Carl kept us informed every day of location, speed etc including technical stuff which made it very interesting. | | Children's Facilities | n/a |
| | Onboard Activities | |
| Attended most of the talks by speakers. It was disappointing that so few people were present making the large cabaret lounge
an odd choice of venue.A smaller lounge would have given a more intimate atmosphere. | | Cabins | |
| Very comfortable with air conditioning just right. Fresh fruit, bottled water, flowers and free soft drinks out of fridge all provided. | | Overall Rating | |
