The “pro.s” far outweigh the “con.s” in this cruise so let’s get the cons out of the way. The first con is the layout of the stateroom bathrooms. Maybe they would have been suitable for those with Victorian waspish figures of the past but even for those with a normal 2000 figure there is a distinct lack of space. This applies to the Az. Quest as well. The second, a minor grouse, is the entertainment which could be considered eclectic: sometimes great , sometimes not so good. After all it is a personal thing e.g. some people may prefer American r to British humour. This however is no great problem because there are other ways to occupy your time such as enjoying a conversation with someone you have met during the day our over dinner.
Now for the pro.s. The first is the atmosphere that is apparent on the ship immediately on joining it. Is it training or food they feed to the crew for when you walk up the gangplank you’ll feel a warmth that you’ll be hard to find on any other ship? Embarking or disembarking, you’ll find senior and junior members of the crew welcoming you on or off. What is a bonus, is that this feeling of friendliness permeates amongst the guests.
The second pro is the itinerary which provides a kaleidoscope of Western Mediterranean; history in Florence/Pisa/Malta/ beautiful Lucca, sophistication in Monte Carlo and St. Tropez and relaxation in Menorca and Sicily. Ideal for someone who has not visited the Med before.
Azamara is ideal to for those too who are travelling alone. The open dining provided allows for people to meet different company every evening or form friendships lasting the cruise or longer. By joining a Cruise Critic Roll Call(not unique to Azamara) the lone traveller may have already struck up a friendship and partners for the interesting tours available on this cruise
