We sailed from Barcelona to Venice on a 10 day cruise and had a fantastic time. This was our first time with Azamara but we would deffinately sail with them again. The food was supberb, be sure to book into both of the special restaurants, Prime C and Aqualina. With a guest/staff ratio of 2:1 you will not fail to feel looked after. The ship had a very friendly feeling and the staff very genuine and could not do enough for you.
If there was anything negative some may say that the excursions were expensive, but with the itinary there was no need to use the ships excursions. We only booked one on the Rome day as the port is 1.5 hrs away. We had a fantastic guide and a luxury coach and were very happy to pay the $89 p.p as the guide gave us invaluable information for the 5/6 hours that we had in the city. Each day in port a local tourist person had a desk in reception to help you with any information that you may need to look around independantly.
The drinks were a bit pricey, but hey, your're on holiday ! and we had a $400 on board cabin credit.
We found the entertainment to be very good for a ship of this size, absolutely no complaints. The highlights for us were Rome and Venice ( an absolute must to get up early to sail into Venice, it was magical ) although every stop was very good, an excellent itinary.
We had an extremly lovely holiday and hope to sail again soon with Azamara.
Quality of Food5
We split our evenings equally between Prime C, Aqualina and Discoveries. The food in The speciality restaurants was the best food we had ever eaten.
Entertainment4
All of the shows we saw were very good.
Shore Excursions5
We only went on one ship excursion, this was to Rome and it was excellent, the tour guide was the best.
Staff5
All the staff were top notch, if we had to single anybody out it would be Phillip the hotel director, for making sure that everything is perfect, treating everybody the same, remembering names ( yes he really does ) and for being the perfect gentleman.

Cabinsn/a
We had been put into a cabin with an obstructed view which was very dissappointing and no fault of the ship. Had they not have been sailing to maximum capacity we would have been moved. We spent very little time in the cabin and we didn't let it spoil our holiday, but an unobstructed view would have been better.

I am considering a Azamara cruise. What is the age range for Azamara clients? Thanks.

Hi there, at a guess i would say middle aged / retired people. As it was Easter when we were onboard there were a very small amount of well behaved children. Hope that this is of help to you.
