I have not been on the Equinox cruise yet. That is planned for 18th August 2009, but did go on the Azamara over Xmas and New Year through the Panama Canal. The Azamara is rated as a 5* ship, but I did not think it was 5*. The food was not very good in the dining room and therefore ate most nights in the speciality restaurant Blu. The service was not good in the dining room and the entertainment was very poor, especially as it was over Xmas and New Year and I am sure charged more for this period. The cabin was the same as on other ships and a lot of people were complaining about the cabin service, but mine was OK.

In which guide is the Azamara rated 5*? Berlitz has it as 4*. I think quite a few ships are perceived to be of a higher rating than they actually are.

You sure you were on Azamara Journey? There are two speciality restaurants on board Journey: Aqualina and Prime C. Blue is the name of the speciality restaurant open to Aqua class cruisers on board Solstice and Equinox.
