| Queen Mary 2 leaving ahead of us, bound for New York | QM2 face on, during her turn to head up Southampton Water - a beautiful ship! | The Oriana then passed us, not as grand a ship the QM2 or QV (I hate the yellow funnel !), but everyone was out on deck and QV and Oriana exchanged blasts of their whistles. Very exciting... |

| This is our lovely balcony, loads of space and midships. Note the low rent furniture (but was comfortable) | This is a shot of the room, the bar and living area. There was another room with a very comfy 6ft bed, a walk in wardrobe, a bathroom with a whirlpool bath and seperate shower cubicle, then another room with a toilet and sink. Cunard supplied a Graco travel cot and good quality high chairs | A view from the other direction of the bar area. The fridge was replenished many times each day (all free) by the butler. Glasses were cristal and plates wedgewood. |

| This was the very comfy bed (6ft) with loads of pillows. Drawers were underneath aswell as storeage space for cases etc. Bedding was replaced every other day. Duvets were like silk - Frete linens I think. The bed looked better presented, but I sat on it & messed it up before the photo was taken | This is our bathroom (not a very good photo) but we had a really large whirlpool bath and a seperate shower cubicle. Great selection of towels which were replenished daily. Also, we had 2 comfortable bathrobes and slippers. | Oh, and what a view from the balcony ! - never the same... |

| We had use of the Grills upper terrace, which had better recliners, iced water served during the day. This area is at the top of the ship (a great sun trap) and has commanding views. Never crouded (like the ship generally) | This is down on the main deck, looking up at the grills terrace. Ths ship is laid out very well, and there are loads of really good areas to sit out. | This is the lovely grills Courtyard, where Grills guests can have lunch or dinner. It can be a real sun trap and there are not too may areas of shade though. |

| Each evening at around 5pm the butler brings a selection of 6 canapes. Hot and cold canapes are also served in the Grills Lounge. The Commodore Club also serves canapes and stuffed olives pre dinner, which I found to be better than those in the Grills Lounge. | In the Queens Grill, we were encouraged to order off menu, and the chefs cooked up 2 diffent meals (we said what we would like, and it was made) wach day for our 14 month daugher - one served at lunchtime and one delivered at 5pm by our putler (Prakesh) - this is steamed salmon with rice and veg. | Due to rough seas in Monaco, the tenders could not operate, so the captain decided to anchor in the beautiful town of Villefranche. Here is a photo taken in Villefranche of a tender, with the QV in the background. |

| This is a shot of the bow of the QV, taken in XXXX. The exterior of the ship looks much better in real life than in photos, but the black and white with the red funnel really make the most of a mass market design. | Another picture of the bow, taken in Palma. | This was taken in Barcelona. In front of us was the MSC Fantasia (she looked pretty good) and a Costa ship (did not look as nice as the MSC or QV - the yellow funnel with a big 'C' printed on it is not very elegant). |

|
| This was also taken in Barcelona and is the stern of the ship, which are all Queens Grill (Q5,Q4,Q3). Some of our friends were in a side suite on 5 deck (Q5) which was very nice - more open plan than our Midships Q3 and a lovely balcony. |
