Description of your album: An entirely unexpected, complimentary and very interesting and enjoyable tour to Caesarea. I confess I was totally ignorant of it and its history. And almost finally we disembarked, reluctantly, in Ashod. A complimentary tour to Caesarea was arranged (so that we didn't arrive at our hotel in Tel Aviv too early.)	Caesarea was the town that Herod built to curry favour with the Romans. To bring fresh water to the town he had to build this aquaduct.	I wonder if our water companies infrastructure will last 2,000 years.

The amphitheatre he had built - still in use today (with the adition of some plastic seating!)	The site of the palace and stadium.	Model of (part of) Herod's palace and its harbour.
