An entirely unexpected, complimentary and very interesting and enjoyable tour to Caesarea. I confess I was totally ignorant of it and its history. Our guide for this excursion had a unique 'follow me' gimmick. Instead of the 'primary school lollipop' he had a trumpet/cornet.

Caesarea was the town that Herod built to curry favour with the Romans. To bring fresh water to the town he had to build this aquaduct.
I wonder if our water companies infrastructure will last 2,000 years.
