Holland America Introduce Digital Workshop
Holland America Cruise Line is introducing the Holland America Line Digital Workshop powered by Microsoft Windows on Ms Amsterdam, Ms Westerdam and Ms Oosterdam, followed by Ms Eurodam in July. Free workshops by Microsoft experts will be teaching cruisers how to take better holiday snaps, make films, edit pictures and create scrapbooks with Windows and Windows Live services.
"Holland America Line is constantly looking for ways to enhance our enrichment offerings to our guests," says Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programmes. "It was a natural fit to team up with the world's software leader to provide this interactive 'edutainment.' Not only will guests have fun learning how to document and share their memories, they'll take home new knowledge and confidence in technology."
The programme is complimentary and starts with a 50-minute long session called, Just Shoot Me, where cruise guests can pick up tips about how to take the best photos, followed by jargon-free interactive sessions which involves teaching how to move images between a digital camera and a PC, how to crop and colour-correct photos, how to add movies and special effects to videos as well as instruction on designing scrapbooks and blogs. One-on-one coaching, called Techspert Time, will be available to cruise guests for at least 20 hours each week. See last minute deals from Holland America Line.
