Connectivity Enhancements On QM2

Since recent refurbishment aboard Cunard's QM2, guests can now access their emails or websites on the cruise ship in staterooms on their own laptops. As well as in-room wireless connectivity, mobile phone and handheld service is also now available whilst the ship is at sea. This enhances the existing WiFi access in public rooms, which sister ship, Queen Victoria already offers.

To use mobiles at sea, cruisers must have a phone capable of roaming internationally, and their service provider must have an agreement with Maritime Communications Partner AS. Standard shipboard Internet charges apply to both laptop and mobile phone web access.

“Whether enjoying sea days on our legendary Transatlantic Crossings or World Cruises, or visiting ports around the world, our guests will appreciate the ability to stay in touch with home or work,” said Carol Marlow, president of Cunard Line.
