Carnival Dream Floated Out

Carnival Dream was 'floated out' of its outfitting quay at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy on Friday. The superliner is the largest Fun Ship ever to be constructed and is set to debut in September 2009. 'Floating out' takes place when the exterior outfitting of the vessel is completed and the dry dock is filled with water so that the ship can be moved to a wet dock facility, where construction will continue.

Features of the new cruise ship include the most expansive children's facilities at sea, a huge Carnival Waterworks aqua park, a Seaside Theatre LED screen and a variety of new stateroom facilities. Carnival Dream will enter service on 21st September 2009 with Mediterranean cruises from Rome.
