Ship safety system designed

A safety system which can round up cruise ship passengers more quickly when there is an emergency has been designed in Wales.

Crew members use handheld scanners to identify and count passengers at muster points, its designers say.

Seatag managing director Captain Trevor Bailey said the US coastguard is among its clients for the new system.
