How this score is createdThe Chanterelle Dining Room (non-smoking) is located in the center of the ship. It has large ocean-view windows and an interesting, rather neat little “orchestra” balcony. There are two seatings (you request first or late seating when you make your booking; first seating for dinner is typically at 6.30pm, while second seating is at 8.30pm).
A second restaurant, Le Bistro (non-smoking), is also located in the center of the ship, but two decks above the Chanterelle Dining Room. Although there are windows on two sides, the views are obstructed by lifeboats.
While it won’t win any awards, the food quality and its variety and presentation are actually quite decent considering the cost of a cruise, although you won’t find many exotic dishes on the menu, and special orders are normally not available. Vegetarians should note that there is always a vegetarian entrée for lunch and dinner (as well as vegetarian appetizers and soups). The service is friendly and quite attentive, although you should not expect grand hotel-style service.
