Bearing in mind that you live near the Smoke, I'm inclined to agree with Malcolm - give yourself a decent Paris mini-break via Eurostar, the journey from Le Havre is tiresome & time-consuming & really doesn't give you much more than a passing glimpse of the sights of Paris. ......................can I suggest that from Le Havre, for a lazy day you consider the pretty fishing & tourist harbour of Honfleur, just across the Seine estuary & easily accessible by taxi or, rather more restrictive. by bus. Or hire a car or book a local tour to visit the D-Day beaches from Pegasus Bridge (between Ouistreham & Caen) through to Arromanches or even beyond into the American sector. .....Chris

It's probably cheaper to go by Eurostar from London or Ebsfleet (£59 retun at times) and quicker (it takes just over two hours). Cruise excusions to paris can be quite expensive and long. However why not take the cruise and pick an excursion that goes to somewhere more local to Le Havre.

Depends on your method of transport. It is about 130 miles and by coach, although it is mainly motorway, it will be between two and a half to four hours depending on the traffic, by train two hours or less. Hope this answers at least part of your question. .....Neil

Ive driven it in a car about 4hrs to center of Paris. Road & weather conditions permitting. Probably a bit quicker by coach driven by a Frenchman who knows the roads
