Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises’ production shows have always been aimed at its slightly older, more elegant passengers. The company prides itself on its glamorous all-American shows, and they should not disappoint. There are typically two or three shows during each 7-day cruise. Each ship has a resident troupe of singers and dancers.

Passenger participation events are put on by members of the cruise staff, who would be well advised to hang on to their day jobs. Most lounges and bars have live music. Musical units range from solo pianists to string quartets, from a cappella singers to bands that can provide music for ballroom dancing. Princess Cruises also provides a number of male hosts as dance partners for women traveling alone. Show lounges are non-smoking.

There are usually at least one per week but you don't have to dress up. Just a tie for men and smart anything at all for ladies will be fine. Tuxedos for men can be hired onboard if you want, otherwise they sell them in Matalan, Asda etc for under £40 and very nice too. After dinner go back to room and change back into shorts or jeans etc. Easy eh? The buffet restaurant is open every night if you want to skip the formal nights, we have done this option and it was just as good, or you can eat in your room! We are going on our second Sea Princess cruise 2010, very impressed.
