We have cruised the fjords twice, once on P&o's long since departed Victoria and more recently on QE2. We are doing it again in July this year on QM2. Personally I prefer to sail the North Sea on a bigger ship--it can be pretty rough on occasion! As you will realise, we find it a beautiful cruise area--hence our return this year.Cynthia.

The latest edition of Cruise & Maritime's brochure has a preview of 2011 crusies. We have cruised to Norway several times, it is my favourite country. I would recommend that you choose a smallish ship as they can get to more interesting places and through narrower channels. We enjoyed Ocean Majesty, which was very small but there are other small ships. We are trying Ocean Countess this year, to Iceland, a trip I said I'd never do again after the rough seas last time. Some people learn from experience, obviously I don't!
