Only go on the Ventura if
you have loads of kids,
have children you dont
care about what or where
they do it, if you are a
lager lout covered in
peircings and tattoos. If
you dont care about any
entertainment ,you want
to save 10 sunbeds for
yourself each day...
As first time cruisers
having read a lot of
reviews we were not sure
what to expect. But wow!
what an experience. The
superlatives are not
enough to describe it
all. The service was
perfect, can't remember
when we met with such
politeness...
We chose to sail on Queen
Victoria, being seasoned
Cunard cruisers, but not
having sailed on QV
before. We chose this
itinerary as most of the
ports of call were new to
us. The seas were calm
and the weather perfect
throughout...
Overall we were happy
with the itinerary but
did notice there has been
an economy drive in the
quality of the food and
service. The part which
stood out was the
disembarkation shambles
where no staff members
were available first to
direct people to...
Arrived at the terminal
11.40 bags out of car
valet parking ready to
drive away.Sat down for a
light lunch at 12.20. The
best embarkation time we
have ever had at any
port.In cabin at 1.15
bags already waiting
certainly P&O seam to
handle baggage better...
Our first time on OV2,
but it seemed almost
identical to OV1.
Problems on day 2 as an
engine played up, meaning
we went so slowly we had
to miss Dubrovnik in
order to get to Venice on
time. Some passengers
were unhappy with this...
This was our first cruise
so we had nothing to
compare our experience
with. We weren't entirely
happy with Freestyle
Cruising - too much like
Butlins on sea. The food
was adequate but not
brilliant. We were
disappointed that so many
of the...
Although we showed a
printed copy of our on
line check in for
Concierge Class, Staff
still directed us to the
main queue. This did not
happen to other friends
boarding about the same
time. However the
procedure was all very
simple...
Myself, husband and son
have just returned from a
cruise on the Grand
Princess. What did we
think of it? Where do I
start? Firstly I must say
the coach company we
travelled down to
Southampton with,
Eavesway travel did not
seem to be as well
organised as the...
