Agreed, we were on Oceana in June and our cabin was literally right next to the lifts, no noise atall and so much easier than walking miles down a corridor.....We were mid ship and it was perfect......have a great time, we did, she is a lovely ship......

Forget the lifts. You are better going mid ship. Book A515. We went on the Oceana to the med last oct and again to the Carribean in Jan. Going to the Panama Canal in November. We love the ship and I'm sure you will too.

I'm with Wilba on this one always go for the one near the lifts!!! 515 is a long walk to either lift (even though it is right in the middle of the ship) but of course you may use up some calories with the walking which may be useful!!!

a QUESTION by Elliott (29 Jun 09 18:45)
I have looked at Oceana's deck plan and A421 is not that near to the lifts but it is quite near to the launderette! I would go for A515 as that looks like it's more midships!

The lifts are in a foyer area and you should not encounter any noise problems. Near the lifts is always a good choice, you never have too far to walk and have closer access to the stairs to get out on deck.

a QUESTION by Elliott (29 Jun 09 18:45)
This question of noise on cruise with little exception is quite unfounded. If it helps I will ONLY book a cabin next to the lifts for convenience & as a result, I've never heard a sound on any ship..........Wilba
