Oceania’s goal has been to create a fine product focused on cuisine, service, and destination-oriented itineraries, and to offer it at reasonable prices. The line’s relaxed onboard atmosphere resembles the casual elegance of a country club, neither stuffy nor pretentious. Formal wear is never a requirement for dinner; passengers dress stylishly but comfortably to enjoy their evenings. Oceania’s ships—small compared to today’s more typical megaships—provide the intimate atmosphere of a small ship, and at the same time have the facilities of larger ships. For example, each ship has several lounges, a spa, and four restaurants with open seating, enabling passengers to dine when, where, and with whom they choose.
