How this score is created

The accommodation ranges from small interior (no view) cabins to a large penthouse suite, in 17 price categories (the price will depend on the grade, location and size chosen). All cabin televisions normally carry CNN and TNT programming.

The interior (no view) and outside-view standard cabins have twin beds that convert to a queen-size bed, and there is a separate living space with sofa and coffee table. However, although the drawer space is generally good, the closet space is actually very tight, particularly for long cruises (although more than adequate for a 7-night cruise). The bathrooms are tiled, and compact but practical. Bathrobes are also provided, as are hairdryers.

Bathrobes are also provided for all suites/cabins, as are hairdryers, and a small range of personal amenities (soap, conditioning shampoo, body lotion, shower cap, vanity kit). The bathrooms are quite well laid out, but the bathtubs are small units better described as shower tubs. Some cabins have interconnecting doors.

On Navigation Deck, 28 suites have accommodation for up to four. These also have in-suite dining as an alternative to the dining room, for private, reclusive meals. These are very spacious, tastefully decorated and well laid-out, and feature a separate living room, bedroom with two lower beds (convertible to a king-sized bed), a good-sized living area, dressing room, plenty of closet and drawer space, marble bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.

The largest accommodation of all is a penthouse suite. There is only one, located on the starboard side of Navigation Deck at the forward staircase. It has a king-sized bed (TV and video player) and vanity desk; large walk-in closet with superb drawer space, oversize whirlpool bath (it could seat four) and separate shower enclosure, separate washroom with toilet, bidet and washbasin; living room with writing desk, large TV and full set of audio equipment); dressing room, large private balcony (with teak lounge chairs and drinks tables, dining table and four chairs), pantry (with large refrigerator, toaster unit, and full coffee/tea making facilities and food preparation area, and a separate entrance from the hallway), mini-bar/refrigerator, a guest toilet and floor-to-ceiling windows. There is no bell push.
