You failed to mention the recent outbreaks of norovirus we went on the Christmas cruise and missed christmas day, boxing day and the day after, missed two out of six days on land, confined to cabin room service was poor.I think we should have been warned of this before going on board as they had problems on two previous cruises.

I have just returned from a cruise around the canaries on the Black Prince, I have cruised on other larger ships but none could compare to the Black Prince, the staff, personal service and general friendliness of all on board was a joy to behold. As the ship is smaller, by the end of the cruise you seem to know everyone and lokk on them as friends. The staff on the Black Prince were some of the happiest I have encountered, there is a lot to be said for cruising in the `old fashioned way`I would recommend the Black Prince to anyone, I am just sorry it took me till the end of the ships cruising life to discover her charm.

I feel this guide is out of date, if I'm not mistaken. All Olsen's ships now have a non-smoking policy inside the ship and smoking is only allowed on the open decks and on individual balconies. I may of course be wrong but I believe this has been the case since early 2009.

Having experienced our first cruise on the black watch, we loved the friendly atmosphere and staff. We went with our children aged 11 and 14 which was great fun as the ship was not too big for us not to know where they were! They did have kids clubs, although there was not a lot for them to do after 9pm. It was the perfect ship to unwind and relax with great ports of call. We found the food great and everyone of all ages very friendly. Having been on a small friendly ship we are not quite sure what to expect on bigger ships! L. COOPER, SURREY (SOUTH MED CRUISE 2008)

I find Black Prince far more acceptable, and far more individual than majority of faceless mega glitzyships. Where the un educated and less than confident individauls can feel part of the cattle on board! Come on get a life Black Prince appeals to "old money"Not the new!!!!! Folk who are totally confident of their position in life.
