Q: We are thinking of travelling on the Braemar (1st time with Fred Olsen) in Feb 2011. A Couple of questions please.
1. Will there be any late night dancing on board. We love ballroom and even a bit of a bop to a disco?
2. Do the inside twin cabins convert to doubles?

Thanks in advance

I don't know about recent cruises on the "Braemar" but I recently came off the "Balmoral's" Christmas cruise and was rarely in bed before the "wee sma hours". It was good to see the more "mature" passengers boogying the night away at the New Year deck party in Tenerife! It wasn't Horlicks they were drinking!! As far as beds are concerned why not contact FOCL and get factual information.

All of the Olsen ships are charming and appeal to the more 'mature' age group - therfore ballroom dancing is very popular. Some disco takes place. I'm not sure waht you mean by late night: to me that means 11.00pm onwards. I've cruised on all of the Olsen fleet and Olsen passengers are not big on staying up for late nights, they seem to like to be tucked uopi n bed by 11.00pm with a Horlicks.;-)

We are going on our 2nd cruise with Fred Olsen In Feb 2011 and are looking forward to it.We are not spring chickens but on our last cruise was up until the early hours either drinking in the bars or at the Disco. In answer to the question of beds,we found it better to have twins,on our last cruise we asked to have double bed configuration, but had it changed on arrival as there was much more room to move about. We were in a standard outside cabin, the situation might be different in a suite,so depends on what cabin you intend to book Hope this helps.Pat S.
