There is very little at Rosyth. So far it isn't really geared up to handling the big ships and is more of a container / cargo port. If you do find you have plenty of time in hand you could visit Dunfermline which is north of Rosyth or explore North or South Queensferry. You don't want to spend long at the Port of Rosyth - terminal boredom. lol
Leith is no longer used as Leith is a tidal port and if the tides aren't favourable it can mean a delay. Rosyth doesn't have that problem.

No shops, no nothing at Rosyth. You have to be bussed to the terminal/ship, not allowed to walk. all luggage has to bussed over too. don't expect to get off early. coaches to Southampton got away at 11.15am! passengers missed their train connections. Leith is lovely with shops, restuarants etc. god only knows why they have moved to Roysth, saving money?

Dinky little terminal, just a couple of miles north of the Forth road bridge (now toll-free) & mebbe 8 miles west of Edinburgh. Doesn't look like the port or facilities could handle larger ships. Cruise car-parking on-site. Easy to get to, dinky but perfectly adequate ............Chris

The ferry to Zebrugger also leaves from Rosyth, not that that effects your trip on Boudicca...Bill

Rosyth has a new terminal with toilets and drinks machines. However, since facilities are limited we advise passengers not to arrive at the terminal too early, so please check your ticket pack for embarkation information and times.
