The first time we went to the North Cape the Cruise Director advised us to take layers as it can vary from quite warm, even at midnight, to cold and foggy. We were lucky and had beautiful weather with clear skies. Last June it snowed at about 11 pm and the sun came out at midnight. Unfortunately visibility was not good sailing around the cape so, having seen it before we went to bed! I hope you have good weather, it is an amazing experience. We didn't buy the DVD the first time we went and regreted it so bought it the second time. The drive is about 40 minutes from Honningsvaag and you have a photo stop at a Sami camp, which is a bit of a tourist trap, but if you take a picture of the old chap with his reindeer and say 'Tak' (thanks) as you put your tip in his little dish you'll make his day because no one talks to him. Have a lovely holiday. Judith

Why not look at the weatherundergroud website this will give you the up-to-date weather and also you can check what the weather was like last year at that time.
Hope this helps.
