I went on the Norway cruise in June 09,the cruise director told us the Marco had just been re-engined, she was certainly a lot quieter, he also told us that the ship would be cruising from the UK for some time

Prior to commencing her summer season of cruises from Tilbury, I understand that Marco Polo did undergo some refurbishment to lounge areas and carpets.
