How this score is created

There are two principal dining rooms: the Renoir Restaurant, with 744 seats, and the larger Monet Restaurant, with 1,044 seats. Both are two decks high, and both have a balcony level for diners (the balcony level in the Monet Restaurant is larger). Two additional wings in the Renoir Restaurant, named Cassat and Pissaro, provide room to accommodate large groups in a private dining arrangement. Dining is in four seatings, for greater flexibility: 6pm, 6.45pm, 8pm and 8.45pm (these times are approximate but equal two seatings per restaurant). Although the menu choice looks good, the actual cuisine delivered is typically adequate, but quite unmemorable.

The Cezanne Restaurant is the ship’s casual self-serve international food court-style lido deck eatery, which has a capacity of over 1,200. Its decor reflects the style of a 19th-century French cafe. It has two main serving lines; it is adjacent to the aft pool and can be covered by a magrodome glass cover in inclement weather. Included in this eating mall are Paul’s Deli, PC’s Wok (Chinese cuisine, with wok preparation), a 24-hour pizzeria, and a patisserie (there’s an extra charge for yummy pastries, however), as well as a grill for fast foods such as hamburgers and hot dogs. Each night, the Cezanne Restaurant is turned into the “Seaview Bistro”, and provides a casual (dress down) alternative to eating in the main dining rooms, serving pasta, steaks, salads and desserts (typically between 6pm and 9pm). And, if you are still hungry, there’s always a midnight buffet around the corner.

Alternative (Reservations-Only, Extra Cost) Dining: The Point is the name of the reservations-only, extra cost, alternative dining spot. The decor includes wall murals in the style of Seurat’s famous Le Cirque (The Circus). Fine table settings, china and silverware are featured, as well as leather-bound menus.
