I went on Carnaval to the Eastern Carribean. It was great, a bit americanised but great all the same.

Carnival are the largest mass market cruise line therefore their incidence of accidents and incidents is bound to be higher than others. The maritime authorities and the classification society regulations will govern the height of guardrails therefore I dont think Carnivals will be any lower than any other cruise lines.

Have you been watching that program about Somalian pirates? The ships with the lowest rails are most likely to get boarded. I noticed that the millennium has welded cross bars at the cut-outs at the back of the ship. also on the millennium there is a balcony near the back that is only as wide as a door, this has a locked door on the corridor, it does not show on any deck plan, but if anyone is going on the Millennium shortly then go to the back of the ship on penthouse deck, right at the back there is the penthouse suite 6048 I think, then there is a sky suite, then a royal suite, in-between those 2 cabins is the mysterious space, I think it has weapons stored there in case of attack, the captain would not confirm it. But I could tell I was near the truth.

Just googled passengers lost over board - if you find cruise junkie. Can you believe this Carnival has the highest loss of passengers and crew overboard. 37 in the last nine years. Now what was your question again...?
