The minisuites at the rear of Oceana are my most favourite cabins on any ship. Which deck are you on? The ones on C deck are the largest. The layout of these cabins is different from the midship minis - the balconies are much larger and we love the interior too, much more room. We have been in the Caribbean in January and February and have always had fantastic weather. You may get the occasional tropical rainstorm (we've always had one in St. Lucia) but they are over very quickly. Lots of people talk about movement at the stern of the ship but the only time we ever felt any was when we came into dock when they used the thrusters - we did not find this a problem. We have had C deck aft minis on Oceana and Adonia when she was with P&O and have booked one for our Panama Canal trip in 2010 - long way away I know but can still look forward to it. Oceana is a lovely ship for the Caribbean, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time. Do ask if you want to know anything else.

John has summed it up very well, I would only add that even if you hit a squall in the Caribbean it seldom amounts to much and it is probably the best place to be at that time of the year, so stop thinking about sea sickness and look forward to a brilliant experience, trust me. ......Neil

We have done a number of Caribbean Cruises in Jan/Feb/Mar including a least one in a Cabin overlooking the stern of the ship and have never had any problems with sea conditions.Only one very small problem cabins overlooking the stern can get hot as they do not enjoy the flow of air which you can get in cabins on the side of the ship.Regarding being seasick you can purchase 'Sturgeon Tablets from any High st Chemist they are quite effective . Injections are also available onboard [at a cost]. We have been on Oceana a few times and she is a lovely ship perhaps a little more laid back than say Aurora.You will Luv it .JohnT
