Has to be P+O Oriana-Classic elegance, wonderful food, cracking entertainment-On board currency is in sterling , drinks are roughly the same as pub prices and all the staff are friendly -Best ever for me!

It would have to be the SS Orontes. My love of cruising started with a five week voyage from the UK to Australia in 1961 - and it cost only £20 for a family of four!

Royal Caribbeans Jewel of the Seas The Baltic .Wonderful solarium to lounge in .Lots of pool towels.Windjammer restaurant just as nice as main restaurant.Inside cabins roomy and comfortable.Good entertainment.Pampering extends to us in the cheaper cabins. Reasonably [not cheap]priced drinks. I added the Baltic because you have no need to pay out for lots of excursions except for St Petersburg.Copenhagen and Tallin simple to walk. The other big city's we used the hop on hop of buses and hopped off when the crowds did,We went July and the North Sea was like a millpond..And oh just to step on the ship at Harwich. No flying .Heaven.And we have done lots of cruises and love them all.

Ocean Majesty because it's small, friendly and can sail where others can't.
