Lazy days at sea interspersed with visits to gorgeously contrasting towns: what could be better? It's easy to see why the Canary Islands are known as 'the fortunate isles'. They are blessed by sunny skies, deep blue seas and a rich soil in which almost anything will grow in profusion. The capital Madeira, Funchal is set in a natural amphitheatre, protecting the city from Atlantic winds and with flowers and greenery in abundance at every turn, you wil be sure of a horticultural treat!

This seven night springtime cruise to Norway is unique on many levels as not only will celebrity TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh be joining you on the cruise, but also we will be visiting Oslo in Norway, on the most important day in the entire Norwegian Calendar - Norway Day.

The Isles of Scilly, probably Britain's best-kept secret, is a sub-tropical paradise just 28 miles southwest of Lands End and has to be the 'perfect holiday' destination. Tresco, the second largest island in the Scilly Isles features an amazing variety of scenery. Wild rugged granite outcrops and heathland to the north, with sub-tropical sandy beaches and the Abbey Gardens in the South.

Fabled summertime cities, seen at the best time of year and in the finest of style. Just a few of the compelling reasons for taking this alluring odyssey aboard Balmoral as she leaves reality in her wake on this twelve night sweep of the beautiful Baltic.

Short summer breaks don't come much better than this; a combination of all the friendly comforts of Black Watch and a fascinating overnight stay in storied Rouen, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Winding lanes are framed by rows of solid, half-timbered houses that look much as they must have centuries ago.

Leave Dover behind on an autumnal evening and cruising south, the passing days become warmer until the ship reaches Funchal, in subtropical Madeira. This volcanic island is naturally rich in vegetation and most visitors will want to see at least one of Funchal's prized gardens such as the Quinto do Palheiro or the Botanical Gardens, both of which showcase wonderful displays of shrubs, trees and flowers.

The warmth of a Carribean welcome is always very special and the welcome in Jamaica is as special as the island itself. Vibrant, loud and exuberant, Montego Bay is an absolute delight, especially the downtown area with a mix of slightly run-down Georgian houses and pretty little cafes.
