Well i have used Cruise Club UK for many years, and my have their standards dropped, CUSTOMER LOYALTTY does is still exist with them, yu can never get a straight answer, they have gone on 0800 numbers yes good, but our cruise consultant has gone onto training, but does her voice mail give you and atermatove, no. It says she will ring you back and leave a message and quess what never get an ANSWER. I rang up eventually got a cruise consultant, a clerk, who said that the cruse girl had gone on training, so i asked could her message be changed and say to call someonle else
To cap it all i paid my forthcomiong last week and booking for 4 was over £6000, the person who took my bank details took £100 too much, i called them back and he stated his finger had slipped but the amount was correctly take off my card, to my amusament the £100 was taken out of my bank.
When i contact them what a hassle, they did not have a copy of the final bill, although their cruise.
consultant good find it on their screen, they ask me to send a letter and a copy of the final invoice to them to claim my £100 taken in error. back. I then lost it i asked to speak to a line manager and even the Company Director, who is non-exsistate, and refused to be put off asked to be put forward to another more senior manager or line manager. Eventuall after 5 minutes got some else who said they could not do it until they saw the person concerned, you tell me that they couldnt find my invoice which is on e-mail so at their request sent a copy and e-mail to them, but have got a phone call it will be credit ed back to my account, still waiting for the money and asked for possibly a reply to my e-mail and a apology would not go amiss. WELL I WILL NOT MENTION THEIR REPPLY SO I WILL NOT BE BOOKING ANY MORE CRUISES AND WHERE DOES CUSTOMER LOYALTY LAY THESE DAYS?
Surely not with the customers who they rely on their business for or the crusie companies who give them free cruises??

Do you have a system for not sending the Berlitz Guide? I received one at the very beginning of the year when I sent a review. I then answered a question and commented on another question and I understand I will receive another guide. I do not need another guide, but I still find your site useful and helpful.

Without a doubt, Cruise.co.uk is the place to visit, if you need a review before you go. However, people view things in different ways and this too is catered for. One only has to look at the statistics above to understand that the site is for everyone.
I always write a review of my cruises, warts and all, if necessary, but with common sense as the theme.
Congratulations on the web page above.

Unfortunately, we did not take the cruise but stayed in Luxor. We did however, see many of the cruise ships passing our hotel. It is difficult to assess the inside of these vessels, from their outside appearance, though I did ask many questions about several of them.
Abercrombie & Kent was the company most often mentioned as a reputable English agent and the Da Vinci was described as very good. We had considered taking a cruise but the offer at Luxor was too good to miss. From there, the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Karnak, Luxor Temple, Denderah, the Joli Ville complex and many other 'local' places are so easy to access. Our main observations about the area were:
1. In December there are still a lot of flies about.
2. The 'hassle' factor is considerable.
In essence, a trip down the nile MUST be on a ship with no less than 5*. I was advised on this matter by a designer who had worked on several of these vessels. The zig-zagging of the vessels is evident, in order to see the sights on the river bank. We wereon the trip we took but we not able to get to Aswan, due to low demand but Aswan and Abu Simbel should be included in any Nile Cruise.
In mentioning Abercrombie & Kent, this is not exhaustive, many other companies operate and are represented in this Country. The paramout consideration should be the 5* category, an acknowledged critera in your selection.
I hope this gives you some insight and food for thought.
