Florida, the sunshine state of America, is ideally situated as a gateway to the Caribbean. Cruises from Florida cover destinations to Alaska, Asia, Australia, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada/New England, Caribbean, European/Mediterranean, Hawaii, Panama Canal, South America and Trans-Atlantic crossings.
Florida is a popular choice for some of the major cruise lines to begin their voyages, the main ports include: the Port of Miami, Port Canaveral and Port Everglades.
Port of Miami Miami is one of the state's most popular vacation spots. It is well-known for beaches including South Beach, trendy nightlife, the Art Deco district, Calle Ocho and Little Havana. It has a wide array of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied during your stay and it is blessed with year round mild climates, so why not take advantage of the world's top golf, tennis and sporting facilities?
The port of Miami has achieved a status of one of the top cruise ports in the world, accommodating the largest cruise ships in the world. Leading cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line frequently cruise out of here.
Over 4 million cruise passengers go through the port each year. Combined with the activity of the cargo industry this port generates high amounts of money and is an important contributor to the area in terms of employment. To maintain this superior position the port contains a new ultramodern cruise terminal and is supported by a good road network.
Port Canaveral Port Canaveral is currently home to both Carnival and Disney cruise ships. A popular pre-cruise destination due to its close proximity to the famous Disney World, MGM, Universal Studios and Sea World theme parks and the Kennedy Space Center – all being within an hour of the port.
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) Here, the Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Liners offer Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises from Florida. Other liners docked here are Costa Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line and Discovery.

Had an easy transfer from
the Club Majic Life in
Sharm then went on Red
Sea Magic returning 2
February. The weather was
not good, very cold winds
and dust storms. However,
the crew and the
entertainment staff
worked their socks off to
find alternative things...
We have done o ver 20
cruises our first with
NCL was by far the worst.
The ship is clean, the
staff excellent and the
cabins good They are
also fanatical about the
hand cleansing whish is a
good thing but that is
where it ends...
This year we decided to
sail on the Azura, we
have sailed with P&O
the last 7 years in Jan
0r Feb to the Caribbean.
The charm of the
Caribbean can not be
overstated, the people,
weather and cost is well
worth the price of the
holiday...
Once we had booked our
cruise we started to read
some very negative
reviews for MSC Poesia,
people not happy with the
food; service; etc....our
advice is do not be put
off......we had one of
the best cruises and for
a great price...
Decided to go away for
Christmas so tried the
Arcadia, we enjoyed the
trip very much, good
comments first..good
cabin, outside,
G1,location next to the
Palladium near lifts most
satisfactiory, vgood
female stewardess...
This was our second
cruise on Victoria this
year, so you can see we
like it! We flew to L.A.
and picked up the ship
the following day, and
off to Hawaii, where we
had last visited several
years ago.
The ship is elegant and
comfortable, with all the
Cunard...
We arranged our own
cruise & stay with 3
nights in Fort
Lauderdale; 7 nights on
Eurodam followed by 4
nights in Key West.
Renting a car to take us
down to KW and back, a
car was unnecessary in FL
so we taxied to the port
ignoring the rude taxi
driver...
We have enjoyed our
cruise on Queen Victoria,
but as we previously had
cruised on Celebrity
Cruises we were expecting
the same Five Star
Service which we have
been used to. So Queen
Victoria to us is Four
Star, one example we had
afternoon tea once and...
we took 2 rooms in the
Seabourn Pride over Xmas
Singapore--Hong Kong.
Although other ships in
the Seabourn line are
known to be great, I
absolutely do not
recommend this ship. It
was very run down and in
fact the pool was out of
service the entire
voyage...
