The original company used to trade under the name of Victoria Travel and was one of the first dedicated cruise specialist retailers, set up over 22 years ago by Andrew Gardner, who is still the chairman of the company. The original company was named after his first daughter "Victoria". The company has grown substantially over the years and is now the leading cruise retailer for a number of cruise lines.

The offers we receive are often exclusive and are always the best in the market. We are one of the main retailers for Silverseas, Seabourn, Radisson, Cunard, Celebrity and Holland America and we can tailormake any itinerary to suite your requirements.

 

Unlike other cruise retailers, www.CRUISE.co.uk/Victoria is not restricted to selling the packages, flight or hotel arrangengements provided by the cruise lines. We have the ability to create the flight and hotel arrangement around you.

 

Victoria Travel is the main cruise provider for BBC Gardeners World, MQ ( Masons Quaterly).

 

The company is a member of ABTA (78024) and has its own ATOL licence (3385).

  

Carnival Corporation (owner of P&O, Cunard, Princess etc) purchased 50% of the company in 2002 and the remainder of the company in 2005. In 2007 the management led by Andrew Gardner and Seamus Conlon purchased the company back from Carnival Corporation with the backing of a venture capitalist called "The Forward Group". 

In order for the company to grow and offer the widest range of cruises it was believed that the company needed to be independent of any particular cruise line. It is this approach which enables us to publish such a wide range of reviews about so many cruiselines.

Andrew Gardner is the Chairman and founder of the company.

Seamus Conlon is the MD of the company. (previously Managing Director Airtours Holidays and Managing Director TV Travelshop.)

Hello, I wrote a review on the 25th June for our cruise on the independance of the seas. This was over 10 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my "free" Berlitz cruise guide book. You state you should receive within 4 weeks and I'm still waitng. Regards DETodd

Do any of these comments ever get responded to? I cant see any evidence of it. If not, why bother with this "paper excercise?" I would be appreciative if a staff member couild respond.

PLEASE ANSWER: Seems a lot of your readers have a problem, like myself, in that they are waiting weeks after posting a review, for the much promised Berlitz Guide. I fail to understand why it should take longer than 2 weeks to receive these and for such a large company as yours, I would hope that as my complaint is far from isolated, someone would take on board these concerns for goodwill if nothing else. I also agree that you should have facility for writing e mails to customer services, otherwise your phone lines are likely to be blocked with people complaining about not receiving their guides! If you could leave a reply I would appreciate it otherwise I will be one of the people blocking your lines!

Call centre opening times are not true, I tried to ring at 5.55 on a Thursday and was told 'Our offices are now closed, please leave a message' which is not at all useful.

There seems to be no other way to ask a question, rather than get a quote / brochure, so I will add my concern that Its been more than 28 days and I haven't received my Berlitz guide - can you please investigate.

Whilst you requested a comment re this particular page perhaps the script could be a tad larger for those of us with less than perfect sight. However my the point I wish to comment on is this: When reviewers submit their opinions could it not be mandatory (as part of the address and details page) for people to enter the cabin number they are referring to as I am sure this would help a considerable amount of people get a better perspective of any cruise/cabin they are thinking of taking.

I submitted a review on 29th June of our NCL Norwegian Jewel cruise to the Baltic but still have not received a Berlitz Cruise Guide after 6 weeks. Is there a problem with the supplier?
