P&O – What, no children!!

So it seems P&O are taking a ship away from the family market and will become Adults Only. Not that the Aurora was the most popular family ship in the P&O fleet. This will happen from next spring after her major refit in Spring 2019.

I think the Aurora will be perfect as an adult only ship, she is a great ship. She entered service on 2000 and is classed as a mid size ship which holds 1874 passengers. P&O have 2 other ships that are exclusively for adults which are the Arcadia and Oriana. I think with the sale of the Adonia to Azamara it left a gap for adults only ship in the P&O fleet. Remember P&O have ordered two new ships which will come into the market in 2020 and 2022

Of course this doesn’t suit everyone especially those passengers who have already booked there cruise for next year and are taking children. P&O are offering alternatives on the Ventura, Britannia, Azura and Oceana. We had a big wedding party that we had to find an alternative for, but P&O were great and the bride was rebooked and was given a nice little upgrade along the way.

Also this month sees the launch of 2019/2020 sailings, where I am sure we will have some exciting new itineraries.

What do you think about the Aurora being adult only?
